5General Information: Who can go? - Anyone can go.
Do I need to go to church? - No, but be aware that this is a Christian Mission Trip.
When are we going? - December 27, 2022 – January 1, 2023
Do I need to know Spanish? - No.
What do we do while we are there? - We serve and create relationships with families in the community through house building and various social interactions.
How do we get there? - We rent vans. These vans are used for all our transportation during the trip and each person is expected to adhere to specified van assignments.
Lodging: Where are we staying? - Baja Bound Retreat Center in Punta Banda, BC.
What are the sleeping arrangements? - Married couples or Parent(s) with children in grade school may be able to stay together depending on availability. All others will stay in rooms separated by male or female. - Lodging arrangements are decided by Mission Leadership Team.
Safety: What part of Mexico are we going to and is the area safe? -Maneadero, BC is located just 10 miles south of downtown Ensenada. Yes it is safe. - The Baja Bound Retreat Center has a 24 hour security guard at the gated entry. - We utilize a Rule of Three - You must travel in groups of at least three people at all times, with one being an adult. What happens if someone gets injured or sick? - We partner with Baja Bound, which has medical resources to accommodate any emergency situation.
Participation: Must I participate in all of the scheduled activities? - Yes.
Donations: Can we take donations on the trip? - No. There is no extra room available to accommodate donations during the mission trip. However, there are other opportunities throughout the year for providing donations. Please contact Baja Missions Leadership team atbajamissionsteam@gmail.comfor more information.
Requirements: What do I need to do to go on the trip? - You MUST complete the online application by October 5th. - If you are under 18 years old your parents/guardians MUST complete the Parent/Guardian Questionnaire by October 1st. - A support letter and list of supporters MUSTbe submitted by October 5th. Submit these through the online application or email them to bajamissionsteam@gmail.com - The Baja Bound Waiver MUST be submitted by October 5th. - $100 non-refundable deposit MUST be submitted by October 5th. Online deposit can be made here. Put in your name(s)/deposit in the "On Behalf of" section. Paper checks can be made out to "Baja Missions", earmarked with your name(s)/deposit, and handed to a member of the Baja Missions leadership team or mailed to:

- Meetings: You MUST attend every meeting. If you will not be able to make a meeting, you are required to notify the Baja Missions Leadership team atbajamissionsteam@gmail.comin advance or risk not being able to attend the trip.
Do I need to have a passport? - If you are 18 years or older, you MUST have a passport. No Exceptions. - If you are 17 or younger, you MUST have a photo ID & birth certificate. No Exceptions. Fundraising How much does it cost to go? - We raise funds as a team through our support letters. Our goal for 2022 is TBD based on the number of team members.
Where can I have paper checks sent? - Paper checks should be made out to "Baja Missions" and handed to a member of the Baja Missions leadership team.

You can earmark your check if you are supporting certain individuals or families for their trip, BEI (Baja Education Initiative), Comunidad Encuentro (new church launch in Maneadero, MX), etc. Otherwise, it will go in the general fund towards the next trip.
